I am Elinor Dashwood!

Take the Quiz here!

Hmm. I'm actually named for Anne Elliott. And not remotely impressed by Hugh Grant (even less so when Alan Rickman is also around).

And in other news, I have long since abandoned hope of reaching Mordor on foot, as knee is not co-operating in any way. Swimming and cycling will need their mileage adding up at some point.

Reading: The Pirate King, by Laurie R King and more Castle fic than is probably good for me.
Purchased: Ready Player One by Ernest Cline (on Kindle)

A History of England - Jane Austen & Charles Dickens

Christmas presents. Lots of Christmas presents ... because, basically, this evening was my single, solitary, bit of free time before Christmas. I'm working until Friday evening and have functions to go to tomorrow night and Thursday night (which is more work, basically, just work that also involves juggling indifferent wine and stilted conversation). Friday evening is free as in there is nothing outside the house that needs to be done ... but Saturday is a write-off with family obligations and on Sunday ... ah, Sunday. Sunday is 11 family members plus us; here. Which means that on Friday night and Sunday morning, this place needs to go from oh-god-you've-been-hit-by-a-tornado to tidy (or, at least, tidy enough to pass). The tornado part comes from the fact that we have finally repossessed everything that's been in storage for the past six months. So there are a million empty boxes that need to go to recycling, rather a lot of where-do-we-put-this type stuff and miscellaneous (tools that still need to be put away, laundry that needs to be done, etc etc etc).

Urgh. I'm almost looking forward to being back at work between Christmas & New Year, just thinking about it all.
