Work. More work. Opera (backstage, not singing). Not enough cycling. The opera was a new piece - all remarkably calm and non-meltdown in production. I loved it (doing the production. Still can't see the point of opera as an art form).

I have signed up for the Ride Across Britain (aka John O'Groats to Lands' End by bike via Every Single Hill We Can Find - judging by the elevation profile). This is in an attempt to ensure I actually get out on the bike.

Reading: client papers, to prepare skeleton argument to be filed at court by Monday pm (but will be in parts West on Monday so it actually has to be done by Monday morning). Also reading Adam Gopnik in the New Yorker.

Books bought: none today, tho' Amazon has told me that the book I ordered on Eichler some time back has been dispatched.

Read:
A Walk In The Woods - Bill Bryson - because he amuses me, but it's not so must-read that it annoys me when the train is so crowded that I don't have room to read, which seems to be happening more and more (have I mentioned how much I dislike public transport?)
Plus a lot of other stuff that I haven't kept track of, must do better ... but the list includes iPod Therefore I Am - Dylan Jones - and Through the Children's Gate - Adam Gopnik - plus dipping into The Silver Spoon (Italian cookery book, can't recall the author) and a flurry of Miles Vorkosigan.

Bought:
None, it's still January. But I did succumb to the The Burning Crusade, the World of Warcraft expansion pack, which will be interfering with reading on those few evenings when I'm not at Clockwork Orange rehearsals.

Plus I've discovered LibraryThing and will try to keep it updated as I go along (it syncs with Delicious Library, which I already use to try and keep track of it all)
