Read:
Unity Mitford: A Quest - David Pryce-Jones. It's a fairly dense read, and the commute has been more packed than usual, making it difficult to get much reading done.
Saveur magazine - arrived in the post the other day and I finally got around to reading some it today; interesting article on Provençal Christmas customs.
... more exam scripts ... - and still they arrive. I'm not all that keen on the sight of the DHL truck right now.

Bought:
None. It's gone midnight as I write this (despite the time tag - I'm writing about the 21st, so I'll date it the 21st), and I'm still working - no chance to buy anything. Maybe at the airport later, though. A 10-hour flight needs some reading material.

Read:
Unity Mitford: A Quest - David Pryce-Jones - the ongoing commute read
More exam scripts ... - trying to get ahead before going to Seattle on Wednesday for a few days

Bought:
None, despite severe temptation whilst waiting in Waterstone's for M this evening before going out for dinner (Japanese, and very good)

I've applied for membership of The London Library, a rather splendid private library in central London, having poked around in there at lunchtime today to see whether it was as good as its website suggests. It is. A 'borrowed' section will appear once the application has been processed.

Read:
French Women For All Seasons - Mireille Guiliano - finished from yesterday
Unity Mitford: A Quest - David Pryce-Jones - I find the Mitfords fascinating, particularly Nancy and Decca, and seem to be accumulating something of a collection of books by and about them. Unity is possible the most extreme variant of the Mitfords, and the historical aspects of this book add another layer of fascination: details of the appeasement movement etc in the 1930's (my 20th century history knowledge is decidedly patchy)
Hercule Poirot's Christmas - Agatha Christie - to wind down with this evening

Bought:
None. It does happen, sometimes.

Running:
Also none, but I signed up for the London Triathlon today, so that had better change rather quickly.
