I am Elinor Dashwood!

Take the Quiz here!

Hmm. I'm actually named for Anne Elliott. And not remotely impressed by Hugh Grant (even less so when Alan Rickman is also around).

And in other news, I have long since abandoned hope of reaching Mordor on foot, as knee is not co-operating in any way. Swimming and cycling will need their mileage adding up at some point.

Reading: The Pirate King, by Laurie R King and more Castle fic than is probably good for me.
Purchased: Ready Player One by Ernest Cline (on Kindle)

Ah! That's right! I'm still trying to decide if I should Kindle Pirate King or obtain the hard-copy, or both.

oh, agreed! I have Austen, but need to find Sayers and bulk up my King Kindle collection. Was never able to get into Pratchett or Bujold, a character flaw, I know.

Have you tried David Liss? He has a new one out.

I also like the Watch novels best of Pratchett.

Re. Bujold, I liked Cordelia's Honor/Barrayar but was put off for years by The Warrior's Apprentice because I couldn't stand bouncy Miles. Then I found Komarr in a charity shop and got hooked again, read A Civil Campaign and then read all the rest backwards. I'd definitely advise people to try a different one or two before writing off the whole series.
